Mississippi and Louisiana Teachers Return to the Classroom for Rigorous Training

As the summer progresses, so does NMSI’s efforts at revolutionizing teaching across the nation. This past week, we hosted two more of our rigorous Teacher Training sessions, where nearly 300 teachers from over 25 school districts met in Mississippi and Indiana to understand how to best implement common core in their math, science and English classes.  These dedicated teachers sacrificed their summers in order to learn new hands-on strategies and engaging activities to prepare themselves – and their students – for the upcoming school year and beyond.

Here at NMSI, we couldn’t be more proud of these teachers, and we applaud their unyielding efforts to deliver the best possible learning experience to their students – and so do their local news stations! Check out this great coverage of the events, and see why these teachers are so excited to learn how to better help their students:

We also had some great online coverage from The Sun Herald, which you can read here, and Indianapolis Public Radio WFYI had nothing but good things to say about the event as well.

There is still time to register for the remaining NMSI Summer Institutes, so don’t miss out! View the schedule and register for training here.
