The Board of Education and Robins Air Force Base announced a $2.9 million grant from DoDEA to expand NMSI's AP program to five high schools and eight middle schools in Houston County - Georgia. Enrollment in math, science, and English AP courses is expected to increase by 75.6 percent systemwide next year – from 890 to 1,563 students. Qualifying scores in AP courses are expected to increase by 127 percent over three years, from 419 to 952 exams with a score of three or higher. This more than doubles current AP qualifying scores.
