Teachers Prepare to Go Back to School at Dallas APSI

More than 400 high school Advanced Placement® math, science and English teachers representing 52 school districts from coast to coast attended the Dallas-based National Math and Science Initiative’s AP Summer Institute (APSI) at MacArthur High School in Irving this week.

APSI has really taken the guess work out of that for me. Teachers whose schools are participating in NMSI’s College Readiness Program receive extensive professional development in math, science and English instructional strategies at APSI.  This teacher training program is led by a national corps of expert AP teachers and provided in-depth training using AP-aligned materials, the latest classroom technologies, laboratory experiments and online resources. It is designed to equip teachers with resources and strategies that they can implement in their classrooms to not only enhance math, science and English instruction by engaging students, but also to increase academic rigor and build college and career readiness through success in AP coursework.
