“APSI has been a wonderful experience. The materials we are provided are the best that I’ve ever seen at a teacher training and are easy to translate to my classroom, I think what I’ve learned here will transcend to my students and be reflected in their [AP] scores next year.”

“APSI is amazing, everything about the experience has been top notch. I can’t say enough great things about my trainer, he wrote the AP Stats test and walks us through the resources and shows us how he uses them with his students. The lessons I’m learning here are so applicable to my classroom, I’m already incorporating this material into my lesson plans.”

“Every year it’s a struggle when I introduce concepts, I am always unsure of the pacing of my lessons because I want to ensure my students have the introductory concepts down before moving on. APSI has really taken the guess work out of that for me. The materials will help me tackle issues with the concepts during that part of the lesson instead of spending so long in the introductory concepts.”

Teachers whose schools are participating in NMSI’s College Readiness Program receive extensive professional development in math, science and English instructional strategies at APSI.  This teacher training program is led by a national corps of expert AP teachers and provided in-depth training using AP-aligned materials, the latest classroom technologies, laboratory experiments and online resources. It is designed to equip teachers with resources and strategies that they can implement in their classrooms to not only enhance math, science and English instruction by engaging students, but also to increase academic rigor and build college and career readiness through success in AP coursework.

This session, held July 19 – 22, is one of eleven APSI trainings scheduled around the country this summer. For more information on NMSI’s AP Summer Institute or to find one near you visit our trainings page
