Open Letter to Teachers on Summer Vacation

Teachers,

Congratulations on another school year in the books! Although your last-day-of-class countdown expired and summer break officially started, we know many of you work year-round to ensure you’re sharp, trained and energized to prepare the next generation of students and citizens. In fact, many of you take advantage of summertime professional development like Laying the Foundation to get ahead.

Still, we hope you take a beat this summer to reflect on the ways you encouraged students, teachers, administrators, school systems and beyond. This year alone, you inspired an English-as-a-second-language student to succeed in AP Literature and head to Cornell University on a full scholarship. You prepared tirelessly for AP exams all year long, and your expert tips gave students the confidence and final push they needed to knock those tests out. You helped your students to make connections between STEM and the world around them.

And isn’t that what this is all about? STEM is the key to unlocking student potential. When we help students make critical connections inside the classroom and in the world around them, we equip them to thrive as capable, confident and creative problem-solvers. We equip them to succeed.

None of this inspiring work would be made possible without the partnership of likeminded educational missionaries like you. Thank you for your ongoing support.

We’re excited for the work that’s ahead.

Happy summer!
