NMSI Earns International Website Recognition

NMSI has always been dedicated to empowering teachers to welcome and propel all students in rigorous primary and secondary education, We set out early this year to more explicitly share our dedication to students furthest from opportunity and to make our site easier to navigate. That work now has earn us international recognition.

Kentico, a European website content management firm, included nms.org among its top 10 websites for November 2020.

Making the site easier to navigate required extensive rebuilding to create a flexible, widget-based experience for site visitors and internal teams. The site originally was built on a less flexible format that often required unique coding for even modest updates. Today's website allows NMSI's communications team to quickly and easily add and update content without tapping into technology resources needed to support our programs.

Refactored Media, a Colorado-based marketing firm, provided backend updates and important consulting on the new design.

"It's great to see our team's work recognized in this way," says Juan Elizondo, vice president of external affairs, marketing and communications. "I'm grateful to Refactored, my team and our internal partners for the smart and collaborative effort. Most important is that our teachers, students and community members now can more easily access the resources they need, especially during this time of challenging teaching and learning."
