Teacher and School Leader Professional Development Services

Our Teacher and School Leader Professional Development Services empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and strategies they need to increase student access to advanced coursework and build inclusive, effective learning environments. We provide comprehensive support for all educators through hands-on workshops, leadership development, curriculum implementation training, and vertical alignment. 

AVAILABLE SERVICES

Content Workshop

NMSI’s Content Workshops equip teachers with tools and strategies to create inclusive, impactful learning experiences. These workshops include two session types: 

  • Experiencing Sessions: Teachers experience model lessons from the student perspective, while expert coaches showcase effective teaching strategies. 

  • Guided Application Sessions: Teachers work with expert coaches to modify and adapt their lessons to meet the needs of their students. These sessions include lesson modification, instruction differentiation, and effective curriculum implementation. 

Vertical Team Training

Vertical Team Training brings together educators across grade levels to ensure continuity and coherence in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. This service builds awareness of standards progressions, aligns instructional goals, and addresses gaps in student learning pathways.  

Curriculum Implementation Training

Curriculum Implementation Training helps educators implement curricula effectively through instructional planning, content alignment, and lesson delivery and covers pacing, assessment, and engagement. This service helps teachers understand the structure, logic, and methodology of their adopted curriculum in order to implement lessons and units more purposefully aligned to state standards. 

1:1 Coaching

NMSI’s 1:1 Coaching provides personalized, targeted support for educators to address specific instructional challenges or goals. This service helps educators implement evidence-based strategies through goal setting and reflection, all with the dedicated leadership of a highly qualified NMSI Coach. 

STEM Leadership Workshop

The STEM Leadership Workshop supports and strengthens school leaders’ capacity to be STEM champions within their campus or district. Participants examine content, skills, tools, and strategies to increase their knowledge of creating effective and engaging STEM learning environments, a school-wide inclusive STEM culture, and support for STEM educators.
